Worldhotels, a leading group of worldwide independent hotels, has announced a leadership change. Kristin Intress joined Worldhotels as its new chief executive officer (CEO) on Mar. 3, 2014. Robert Hornman, current CEO, will stay with the company until July 2014, assisting with the transition.

Intress is a hospitality industry expert with broad entrepreneurial expertise. She has served in multiple executive sales and marketing positions during her career and has been a successful restaurant entrepreneur. Before joining Worldhotels, she was president and CEO of InnLink LLC, a leading central reservation system (CRS) provider based in Nashville, Tenn. Under her leadership Innlink LLC developed into one of the most successful CRS providers serving more than 7,000 independent hotels worldwide.

Robert Hornman has led Worldhotels for the past six years as CEO. His primary achievements during this tenure include the launch of Worldhotels’ new branding solution in 2010, the introduction of a new brand identity in 2012 and the creation of a global loyalty program which will launch in April 2014. Hornman plans to relocate to Cape Town, South Africa, to pursue a career as an entrepreneur providing hospitality services to the tourism industry in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Intress was introduced to Worldhotels’ clients and hotels during ITB 2014.
