Melrose Georgetown Hotel – a reinvented Georgetown hotel that defines distinct innovative service in a stylish, chic ambiance – proudly announces the appointment of Jale Hashimi as general manager of the Washington, D.C. boutique hotel. Bringing over 20 years of dynamic hotel experience in middle and executive level management, Hashimi has a proven track record of excellence in directing and leading to desired results.

“I am delighted for the opportunity to take on such a promising, beautiful hotel as Melrose Georgetown,” said Jale Hashimi, general manager of Melrose Georgetown Hotel. “The atmosphere of the Melrose Georgetown is both electrifying and inspiring, and I am eager to share the service standards and programming of this Washington, D.C. reinvented hotel.”

As a member of the Remington Hotels family since 1999, Hashimi has previously served as general manager of both Churchill Embassy Row Hotel in Washington, D.C. and Embassy Suites Dulles Airport in Herndon, Va., where she produced immediate and substantial increases in revenues and gross operating profit and developed key internal talent. Hashimi’s additional experience as general manager includes Hilton Singer Island in Riviera Beach, Fla. and Four Points by Sheraton in downtown Washington, D.C., stabilizing the sales department and receiving several recognition awards.

“The record of success and expertise that Jale brings to the Melrose Georgetown is invaluable,” said Sileshi Mengiste, divisional vice president of Remington Hotels, Luxury Division. “She has continuously demonstrated a commitment to achieving company goals with grace and energy. Hotels have flourished under her effective leadership, and she has a keen eye for internal development and recruitment.”

Hashimi attended George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., where she received numerous honors and a degree in finance. Her education also includes a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, Va.

The reinvented Melrose Georgetown Hotel defines distinct, innovative service in a stylish, chic ambiance. 240 spacious rooms and suites are filled with contemporary, D.C.-inspired artwork and clean-lined furnishings in a bold palette of grey, navy and cream, creating lustrous accommodations. Signifying the hotel’s guiding principals, the Griffin emblem represents Melrose Georgetown Hotel’s prevailing, inventive and effectual experience and is woven throughout the hotel space, décor and service offerings.
