Apple Leisure Group (ALG) continues to augment its executive team with the recent appointment of Scott Bacon. As the new Vice President of Development, Eastern Caribbean and The Bahamas, Bacon will focus on growing AMResorts presence in these key regions by fostering strategic agreements with hotel owners and developers.
“Scott’s experience, strong relationships in the hospitality sector, and deep understanding of the Eastern Caribbean and The Bahamas markets, is integral to Apple Leisure Group’s expansion,” said Javier Coll, Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer, Apple Leisure Group. “We look forward to experiencing the same success in this region as we have in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Bacon’s addition will also further ALG’s mission of providing industry-leading service and support,” Coll added.
Bacon is a 25-year industry veteran who has worked in a range of segments, including airline planning and scheduling, hotel distribution and revenue management, operations, marketing and new hotel development. He began his career as a yield manager for Pacific Southwest Airlines before heading to Midway Airlines to run Revenue Management. Later, during his tenure at Southeast Airlines, Bacon hit his stride, becoming Director of Planning. In this role, he oversaw all revenue management, scheduling, pricing and marketing efforts.
