Lynne Bredfeldt has been appointed as the Director of Public Relations of the highly-anticipated Park Hyatt New York, Park Hyatt’s U.S. flagship property slated to open in mid-2014. In her new position, Ms. Bredfeldt is responsible for directing the property’s strategic public relations initiatives, communications and brand partnerships.
Ms. Bredfeldt was previously the Director of Public Relations at Park Hyatt Chicago for nearly four years. During this time, Ms. Bredfeldt launched a global campaign for the property’s Bottega Veneta suite and spearheaded several major initiatives including a multi-million dollar renovation as well as the brand realignment for NoMI Kitchen, NoMI Lounge, NoMI Garden and NoMI Spa. Bredfeldt also garnered numerous awards for the property, securing accolades in Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards, Travel + Leisure’s “500 World’s Best Hotels” and Condé Nast Traveler’s “Gold List – World’s Best.”
Outside of Park Hyatt Chicago, Ms. Bredfeldt is very passionate about her work with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, where she spent time on a Global Village Build in Ghana; Girl Up, a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, where she is an active volunteer; and Common Threads, a nonprofit organization founded by Chef Art Smith, which teaches children living in underserved communities how to cook wholesome, healthy meals in curriculum-based after-school programs.
