Fabri-Quilt, a leading fabricator of hospitality window treatments and bed coverings, and Warp & Phil, a leading producer of creative hospitality textile solutions, have signed a merger agreement, effective immediately. The new company leverages the expertise, experience and production capabilities of these two exceptional businesses into a soft goods powerhouse.

Fabri-Quilt’s 245,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility, strategically located in North Kansas City, MO, is unmatched in the hospitality industry. The consolidated company will continue to offer unparalleled customer service, bedding and drapery product selections for hotels everywhere. According to Brian Coughlin, President of Warp & Phil, “We are thrilled to become part of a company with such significant fabrication capabilities for hospitality bedding and window treatments. It allows us to provide customers with complete soft goods programs, from start to finish.” Coughlin brings over two decades of textile development and national hotel program implementation, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry.

“There are many synergies between the two companies,” said Adlai Kunst, President of Fabri-Quilt. “We realized that this was the right time with the right people in place to allow us to achieve our strategic goals of expanding our presence in the hospitality industry. The merger with Warp & Phil brings us to a new level -- their seasoned national sales force, textile experience and hospitality relationships add increased momentum to our expansion efforts.”

In addition to combining textile and fabrication strengths, both companies share a common customer focus. “Our customers are at the center of everything we do and drive our planning and growth,” commented Kunst. “When we invest in the latest technology, it’s to create the cutting-edge products our customers want and need.”

Added Coughlin, “The merger creates a single, strong, centrally located company that can service the soft goods needs for the high volume of renovations and new builds that will be occurring over the next few years.” Benefits of the merger, such as enhanced textile selection and fabrication efficiencies will be achieved immediately. The two companies have been working closely in the months leading up to the merger to ensure a seamless transition and enhanced customer experience.
