Chris Johnson has assumed the role of Managing Principal for LEO A DALY's Omaha office, succeeding Lloyd A. Meyer after his 42 years of service to the firm. Meyer will stay with the firm in an advisory role until his retirement on March 1, 2014.
Johnson will oversee the Omaha team in executing projects and pursuing new business opportunities in the healthcare, aviation, higher education, federal, and hospitality markets. Johnson, who rejoined LEO A DALY in July, 2012 as business development director, previously worked for The Weitz Company and Boyd Jones Construction.
“Chris has the leadership abilities and broad industry experience required to develop a fresh strategic vision for our Omaha office,” says Charles Dalluge, executive vice president of LEO A DALY. “He and Lloyd are working hand-in-hand during a seamless transition, and the Omaha office will continue into the future as the architecture, engineering, planning and interior design leader it is today.”
Johnson holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and served as 2012 president of the Omaha chapter. He also is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association, the Omaha Chamber of Commerce, and the Habitat for Humanity Building Committee.
