Fritz Hansen, the iconic Danish furniture manufacturer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Henrik Hjorth as Vice President, North America. Mr. Hjorth succeeds David Rosenkvist, who is returning with his family to Denmark.
Henrik prestigious career includes a recent term as Director, Architecture and Design at the Danish Consulate in New York. Prior to that position, he was President of Vipp, Inc. and was the Managing Director and founding partner at Nordkys Institute, also in New York. With a Masters of Science, Economics and Business Administration from the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark, Henrik has worked in top leadership and communications positions both in New York and Denmark.
“I grew up in Denmark surrounded by Fritz Hansen furniture and have always appreciated the beauty, craftsmanship and timeless durability of the designs,” Henrik said. ”I believe Fritz Hansen will become even more relevant to the North American markets in the coming years and it gives me great pleasure to further develop the brand with our team and our partners.”
Hjorth will be located at the company’s New York headquarters in Soho in New York City. Henrik is married and resides in the New York City area.
