), the web based technology that brings powerful sales and operations tools to thousands of hospitality professionals, has added two influential hospitality leaders to its Board of Advisors: Joel Pyser and Gregory A. O’Dell.
Joel Pyser, Chief Operating Officer of Passkey.com is an accomplished 30 year veteran of the hospitality industry. In 2007, after 20 years of service, Joel retired from Marriott International as the Vice President of Field Sales. He also held positions in convention services, catering sales and group sales. Following his experience at Marriott International, he created a unique site selection company called Inn Fluent and was the Managing Director for HelmsBriscoe. He joined Passkey in December 2009. He is involved in both MPI and PCMA.
Gregory A. O’Dell is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Events DC, the official convention and sports authority for the District of Columbia. Events DC owns and operates the Walter E. Washington
Convention Center as well as other sought after District venues. Mr. O’Dell oversees Events DC’s three lines of business: Conventions and Meetings, Sports and Entertainment, and Special Events. He formerly was president and CEO of the DC Sports and Entertainment Commission. He is an institution in the District’s travel community, working to solidify the city as a destination of choice for meeting planners.
As respected leaders in the hospitality industry, Messrs. Pyser and O’Dell share the Social Tables vision to increase the collaboration between everyone involved in planning meetings and events. They will be advising the company’s Leadership Team on strategic initiatives and next generation product development.
O’Dell and Pyser join the following luminaries on the Social Tables Board of Advisors: celebrity event planner Marcy Blum, social media titan Gary Vaynerchuk, hospitality technology leader Larry Hall, events visionary David Adler, marketing expert Robert Thomas and corporate event specialist Wendy Drake.
