The Liberty Hotel is pleased to announce the addition of Jennifer Morelli and Bridget Luddy. The Liberty, a national historic landmark and architectural gem built in 1851, is the imaginative transformation of Boston’s storied Charles Street Jail into a 298-room luxury hotel.
"We are thrilled to bring these two talented managers onto our sales and catering team," said Sean Reardon, Director of Sales & Marketing at The Liberty. "Both bring exceptional knowledge of the hotel industry as a whole, and also specifically of the Boston market, which will serve to help fuel The Liberty’s continued success in years to come."
Morelli will be assuming the role of Group Sales Manager with responsibility for both enhancing the presence of The Liberty as well as the acquisition of business from the SMERF and government markets. She brings a significant amount of experience to the position, most recently serving as Leisure Sales Manager for the Starwood Boston Metro Market. Morelli holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Temple University.
As Catering Sales Manager, Luddy will be responsible for catering operations for both social events and business functions alike within The Liberty’s 6,000-square feet of private event space. Luddy began her hotel career with Starwood Hotels and was most recently the Special Events manager at Turner Fisheries, where she handled all facets of planning and logistics for events in the restaurant and private dining room. Luddy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Anselm College.

About The Liberty Hotel’s Meeting/Event Spaces
For impromptu cocktails and a change of scenery for meeting breaks, the hotel’s catwalks can be set for events, allowing guests to peer out into the open rotunda and onto the active lobby below. The ballroom, lively in color and design, can accommodate up to 200 for formal dinners or 350 for receptions. Additional Liberty meeting rooms range from 415- to 1,050-square feet and offer more intimate settings for groups of ten to 120. With distinct character and style, the hotel’s six meeting spaces marry historic influence with contemporary design—tapping historic colors and patterns reflected in wall coverings, bold carpet designs and vintage wall sconces and chandeliers. In rich hues of purple and yellow, geometric patterns draw from traditional New England window panes and door friezes to create spaces that are both lively and unassuming. With an eye toward modern functionality, the hotel’s flexible meeting and event spaces feature up-to-the-minute technology, high-speed Internet access and embedded audio/visual services. A full-service business center and wireless data connections in public areas ensure that off-site business keeps pace with thought.
