Kalisher announced earlier today that Heather Stewart has joined their firm as an Account Director. Ms. Stewart, formerly with Soho Myriad in Atlanta, will report to Beth Wilson in support of the Kalisher’s luxury art consulting efforts. For Kalisher, a leading art provider, this marks its second move in the past few months making clear its intent to be a big player in hospitality’s luxury segment.
“Heather is, hands down, the best luxury art consultant in the business,” said Beth Wilson, Account Director and head of Kalisher’s Luxury division. “I’m thrilled to have her on our team.”
Kalisher’s Sr. Account Director Shelly Francisco added that Kalisher is already starting production for several luxury properties including a JW Marriott, an Intercontinental, The Taj and a Loews hotel. “The timing for us couldn’t be better,” Ms. Francisco said. “We’re committed to the full spectrum of hospitality projects and we now have the right people in place to lead art development for every conceivable project.”
Ms. Stewart has been a gallery manager and artist’s rep before moving into hospitality art consulting for the past eight years with Soho Myriad and now with Kalisher. “I’m excited to join Kalisher,” Ms. Stewart said, pointing out that, “Kalisher’s approach to art is unique in our industry which is why I’m so thrilled to be able to join their team and be part of their growth.”
Company founder and President Jesse Kalisher pointed out that Kalisher now, “offers the perfect blend of original curated art supplemented with our own creations. Kalisher has made its mark by creating customized art for each job. In addition to running Kalisher, Jesse Kalisher is a fine art photographer whose work is in the permanent collections of museums around the world including The Louvre, The Smithsonian, and the George Eastman House. His wife, Helen Kalisher is the studio’s VP, Creative Director and has a fine arts degree from The Chelsea School of Art in London.
Ms. Stewart will head up Kalisher’s Atlanta office. Other offices are headed by Account Director Brian Helder, ASID who in 2011 opened Kalisher’s West Coast office in Palm Springs and by Beth Wilson who recently opened Kalisher’s Midwest office in Chicago. Kalisher is headquartered in Carrboro, North Carolina.
