Bizzabo, the leading mobile networking platform for event organizers and attendees, today launched upgrades to their iOS and Android app, integrating dynamic user engagement boosters for advanced social media and event interaction. The startup incorporates LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter to build interactive communities around events while giving users access to enhanced networking opportunities.
With the introduction of controlled push notifications to the app’s infrastructure, users can actively monitor who has viewed their profile, what their connections are up to, and what events they are attending. This helps networkers to easily scope out potential connections and keeps them in the loop about which events they should attend. This increased level of interactivity boosts attendee engagement as well as encouragesusers to explore events using the app’s event discovery feature. For example, as a Bizzabo user, you’ll be notified when a LinkedIn contact of yours on the app is planning to attend a conference that you maybe interested in.
These new features also let event goers share their favorite speakers, event partners and sessions. The increased opportunities to share and interact on the apphelp bridge the gap between the physical conference and a user’s social networks. Such a unique channel for attendees also caters to event organizers by collecting data about event goer preferences and behaviors to leverage for increased buzz and exposure.Using the new ‘like’ feature, event organizers will be able to see which sessions and speakers are the most intriguing for their audience before the event even starts. Deeper attendee engagement means deeper, more valuable insights for organizers and a higher level of social interactions, both in-person and digitally.
“The engagement boosters are a way to add a deeper layer of social activity to an event or conference. Attendees will now have the ability to interact with conference content on a new level by sharing the sessions they’re excited about or “liking” the speakers they enjoyed,” says Alon Alroy, Co-Founder and CMO of Bizzabo. “These new features are aimed at increasing attendee engagement andimproving event awareness and curiosity. Our new ‘who viewed my profile’ feature makes it much easier and more fun to spark conversations with fellow attendees”.
Bizzabo continues to gain steam in the events and networking industry and has been integrated into a number of high-profile conferences around the world such as Marketo Summit, Next Berlin, TiECon, and CE Week. The newly released v2.0 of the iOS app can be downloaded here; and Androidhere. Event organizers can get started (for free) socializing and mobilizing their next conference here.
