Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa is thrilled to welcome Doug Sears as the new general manager at the property. Sears returns to the mainland and joins the team at Indian Wells directly from Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, where he has served as general manager since 2004. Sears replaces Allan Farwell, who had served as the general manager at the Indian Wells property since 2007. Farwell now serves as the general manager at Regency Maui Resort and Spa.
“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to lead the team here at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells,” says Sears. “With exciting renovations underway and the support of the stellar team here at the resort, I look forward to continuing the excellence that has become synonymous with the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells experience.”
Originally from Seattle, Sears started his career in 1979 in Hyatt’s Corporate Management Trainee program, where he concentrated his efforts in the rooms division. Over the course of his 34-year tenure with Hyatt, Sears advanced through the company’s ranks, and has served as a general manager for five different properties, including Hyatt properties in Palo Alto, Coral Gables, Grand Cayman as well as the Grand Hyatt Seattle.
