Pompan Hospitality Global Announces Strategic Reorganization

Hospitality consulting firm, Pompan Hospitality Global, has announced a realignment of its executive team to support a growing list of clients in a variety of market segments. “Our firm recognized that in order to serve the needs of our current and future clients, we needed executives seasoned in our primary market segments; Corporations, Universities, Municipalities, Hotels and Conference Centers”, said Neil Pompan, President and CEO of PHG. “We now have a team in place that speaks the unique languages of our diverse customer base and have the ability to leverage their combined experience to the benefit of all”.

Geoff Lawson will lead consulting efforts in the corporate market. A 35-year veteran of the hospitality industry and past president of IACC, the International Association of Conference Centers, Geoff spent 16 years of his career in the development and operation of IACC-accredited conference centers. His wealth of experience includes positions as General Manager, Regional Director, and Regional Vice President for such organizations as IBM, Bank of Montreal, AT&T and Nationwide Insurance in both the United States, Canada and Bermuda.

Tom Cappucci will take the lead in the consulting efforts for the university market. Tom is also a past president of IACC and has spent over 25 years of his career dedicated to the development and operation of conference center and hotels for a variety of high-profile owners and operators including Indiana University/Perdue University, Doubletree Hotels, Destination Hotels & Resorts, Scanticon Conference Centers and Stouffer Hotels. He received Conference Center Director of the Year from the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association.

Tony Swainey will lead PHG’s consulting efforts in the municipality market. Tony has over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has worked with industry leaders such as Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Omni Hotels & Resorts and Westin Hotels & Resorts. His roles have included property leadership and corporate positions with both individual business units and multi-unit responsibilities such as General Manager, Managing Director, and Regional Director of Operations. Tony’s international experience includes eight years in the Middle-East as developer and operator of hotels and resorts.

Tim Martin will be the leader of the consulting efforts in the Conference Center market. Tim is a 30-year veteran of the conference center industry which has included active involvement in IACC for 23 years. During that time he has held positions on the Board of Directors of IACC North America and IACC Global. Tim’s skills and experience benefited such notable properties as the Merrill Lynch Conference and Training Center (Plainsboro, NJ), Fairfield University (Fairfield, CT), and Duke University at the R. David Thomas Center (Durham, NC). Tim has spent the past 12 years at Duke University with Duke Corporate Education as Vice President of Contracting and Facilities and included management of Duke CE’s global offices and culminating in Co-leading the team that developed Duke University’s new 290-acres site at Duke Kunshan University located outside of Shanghai, China.
