Wyndham Hotel Group Surpasses the 500 Property Mark in China

Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest* hotel company with over 7,340 hotels and part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: WYN), today announced its continued expansion in China with the addition of eight new Ramada® properties.
Currently, the company has 543 hotels and 67,559 rooms in the country.
China now accounts for the largest number of Wyndham Hotel Group properties in the Asia-Pacific region with hotels under the Wyndham® Hotels and Resorts, Ramada®, Howard Johnson®, Days Inn® and Super 8® brands. Wyndham Hotel Group is also the largest* U.S.-based hotel company in China.

The eight new Ramada properties will be added over the next two years in the cities of Linyi, Liuzhou, Changzhou, Changsha, Suzhou, Wuyishan and Xishuangbanna. These properties will join the brand’s existing 49 hotels, making Ramada the second most prolific Wyndham Hotel Group brand in China, after Super 8®.
Among the eight new Ramada hotels, the Ramada Suzhou Luzhi was the first to open in November 2012 with 133 rooms in the beautiful water town draped in over 1,400 years of history.
The properties due to open in 2013 are: Ramada Changzhou; Ramada Linyi North; Ramada Plaza Liuzhou Liudong; and Ramada Plaza Xishuangbanna. In addition, Ramada Plaza Changsha West; Ramada Wuyishan and Ramada Plaza Changsha Riverside will open in 2014. Together, these properties will add over 1,500 rooms to the Wyndham Hotel Group portfolio.
As a dedicated collaborator in assisting local developers with operating successful hotels, Wyndham Hotel Group has aligned with Linyi Mingze Import & Export Co. Ltd; Liuzhou Dong Cheng Investment & Development Co. Ltd; Changzhou Aoyang Real Estate Development Co. Ltd; Hunan Xiangbo Real Estate Development Co. Ltd; Suzhou Canfield Hotels Co. Ltd; Hunan Wanli Hotel Management Co. Ltd; Fujian Wuyishan Sanmu Industrial Co. Ltd and Yunnan Jiasheng Hotel Management Co. Ltd. to help grow its brands in China.
