Super 8 Takes on Tough Mornings, Rewards Travelers Who #RollWithSuper8

Missing that extra hour of sleep this morning? For anyone who struggles with a long commute, getting the kids to school or just arriving at the office in one piece, the Super 8® hotel brand knows that mornings can be tough, which is why the hotel chain is doing its part to make them a little sweeter with the introduction of the exclusive Super 8 Simply Super Cinnamon Roll.
 
Available starting today at all of the brand’s more than 1,900 locations in U.S., the hotel company is celebrating by handing out 15,000 complimentary Super 8 Simply Super Cinnamon Rolls in New York City and inviting consumers nationally to participate online by entering a photo sharing sweepstakes for a chance to win a Super 8 Destination Vacation.
 
The cinnamon roll is part of a larger nationwide launch of the brand’s recently enhanced SuperStart® breakfast, designed to offer consumers a more satisfying and consistent breakfast experience. Anchored by the Simply Super Cinnamon Roll, the breakfast features products from well-known consumer brands across eight key food groups such as cereal, juice, yogurt, waffles and more.
 
“Monday mornings are tough and with Daylight Savings Time commanding us to ‘spring forward,’ we wanted to create something that everyone can look forward to waking up to,” said Heny Gabay, vice president of marketing for Super 8. “Not only is the Simply Super Cinnamon Roll the perfect way for guests to start their day, it’s an indulgent and delicious treat that can take their minds off the hour of sleep they lost.”
 
In addition to free sampling, consumers throughout the U.S. are invited to participate in the #RollWithSuper8 Sweepstakes by posting photos of themselves indulging in a cinnamon roll, preferably one that’s Simply Super, on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #RollWithSuper8. Consumers can enter throughout the day on March 11, 2013. Following the sweepstakes, one lucky winner will receive a Super 8 Destination Vacation consisting of accommodations for seven nights at a Super 8 hotel of their choice, complimentary roundtrip airfare for two anywhere in the continental U.S. and $300 in Wyndham Rewards® Prepaid Visa Gift Cards. Participants must be 18 years or older to enter and prizes will be awarded in the form of 500,000 Wyndham Rewards points. Excludes residents of Rhode Island.
