IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) [LON: IHG, NYSE: IHG (ADRs)] announces the recent opening of the new Holiday Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport – North following an $18 million renovation. The hotel is adjacent to the world’s busiest airport, and includes 330 completely remodeled guest rooms, including 140 suites.

The Holiday Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport – North hotel features a fresh, modern and open floor plan with signature design and branded elements throughout the space. The restaurant includes a new F&B offer, a bar with peninsulas, community tables and a chef station. In the lobby area, guests will find a media lounge, a grab & go café featuring a 24x7 market, and a new approach to the business center via an eBar, all in one cohesive space to allow guests to eat/drink, relax and have fun.
 
The new hotel also includes features in keeping with the $1 billion Holiday Inn global brand relaunch, the largest project of its kind in the history of the hospitality industry. The relaunch program creates a more contemporary brand image as part of the drive to increase quality and consistency across the global portfolio. The program focuses on arrival and welcome services, guestroom and guest bath comfort, and a redesigned logo and signage.

Located at 1380 Virginia Ave., just off Interstate 85, the hotel offers a free shuttle service to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, as well as 12,000-square feet of flexible meeting space. Other amenities include free wired and wireless fiber optic high- speed Internet service, an outdoor pool, lush patio and 24-hour fitness center.

Just a short distance from downtown Atlanta, the new Holiday Inn & Suites is close to headquarters and satellite offices of major transportation corporations, including Delta® Air Lines, AirTran Airways and Southwest Airlines, Fedex®, UPS and Norfolk Southern.  Within a short drive, visitors will also find nearby attractions including the Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia International Convention Center, Phillips Arena, Georgia Dome, Turner Field, Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola.
 
The hotel design creates a familiar atmosphere that is warm, trend forward and comfortable. It features a natural, fresh color palette punctuated by pops of energetic colors.  Guest beds are made using crisp, white bedding with pillows that come in two comfort levels: “soft” and “firm.” And the bathrooms include a multifunctional showerhead, as well as a signature shower curtain with curved rod, and Bath & Body Works amenities.
 
The design includes business-focused necessities such as an ergonomic workstation, data ports and complimentary USA TODAY® newspapers. In addition, each room has the standard Holiday Inn guestroom accommodations – comfortable double, queen or king-sized beds, a sitting area with a lounge chair, hairdryer, micro fridge, coffee maker, iron and ironing board.
