The Venetian and The Palazzo Announce Expansion of National Accounts Sales Team

The Venetian® and The Palazzo® have announced the recent additions to its National Accounts sales team for the largest, greenest and most sophisticated convention hotel complex in the world. Lori Aparicio and Karen Petty have been selected to spearhead efforts related to the sales efforts of National Accounts for the Northeast and Midwest, respectively.

The Venetian and The Palazzo, along with the adjacent newly renovated Sands Expo, offer unmatched service to meetings professionals with more than 2.25 million square feet of flexible space and more than 7,000 AAA Five Diamond-rated suites under one roof.

Lori Aparicio, Director of National Accounts Northeast, comes from an extensive background in the pharmaceutical, corporate and incentive market.  With more than 22 years of experience, she has covered every avenue of strategic selling to the group meeting and convention markets, client relations, preferred vendor agreements, negotiations and third party management.

A native of New Jersey, Aparicio earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Management from Seton Hall University. Soon after, she joined Sheraton Hotels and so began her infinite passion for the industry. She has held positions throughout New Jersey at Ramada LTD, Marriott & Renaissance Offshore Resorts, Wyndham Resort & Spa, Diplomat Resort Country Club & Spa, Our Lucaya Beach and Golf Resort, and most recently Gaylord Hotels.

Karen Petty, Director of National Accounts Midwest, brings more than 22 years of extensive experience and has proven success in sales and account development in the corporate, association, as well as incentive and third-party markets.

After obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Hotel Restaurant Administration from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville, Perry joined the Hyatt Regency Knoxville, where she worked her way up through the hotel industry to become a sales manager. She later held positions at the Hilton in Walt Disney World Village and most recently Gaylord Hotels, based in Kissimmee, Florida, Chicago, Illinois and Charlotte, North Carolina.
