Leon Teow has been promoted to executive chef at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando. In this role, he will lead the daily culinary operations of the 750-room, AAA Four Diamond luxury hotel located on-site at Universal Orlando Resort. Prior to being named executive chef, Teow was executive sous chef at the hotel and was instrumental in creating the hotel’s innovative culinary selections.

His passionate commitment to food and artistry led him around the world, where he worked for Shangri La Hotel Group, Ritz Carlton and the Intercontinental Hotel Group. As a devoted competitor, he has earned awards in numerous culinary competitions including the International Food Service Expo, ACF Culinary Show and Salon Gastronomique.
“Our guests will delight in Chef Teow’s attention to detail and his unwavering commitment to guest service,” says General Manager Diane Petit. “His inspiring approach to his craft is exceptional.”
