Four Winds Casinos Implements InvoTech’s Multi-Property RFID Uniform Tracking System

InvoTech Systems, Inc. announced that Four Winds Casinos, the premier gaming destinations in the Midwest, has selected InvoTech’s Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Multi-Property Uniform Tracking System. Four Winds Casinos properties use InvoTech’s Multi-Property RFID Uniform System and White Conveyors' U-Pick-It delivery system to automatically deliver uniforms to employees’ hands. Four Winds properties include Four Winds New Buffalo, Four Winds Hartford, and Four Winds Dowagiac, which is scheduled to open in 2013. InvoTech centrally tracks uniform use, controls inventories, monitors laundry cycles, and consolidates purchasing for more than 10,000 uniforms. The New Buffalo and Hartford properties currently have the InvoTech system installed. Four Winds also plans to implement the system at its Dowagiac casino. InvoTech’s expertise in complete UHF RFID system integration delivers 100% control of linen inventory, 100% protection of non-theft related losses, and 98% protection of linen losses.

InvoTech Combines Multiple Property Inventories; Enables High-Volume Discount Purchases
Jennifer Lasiewicz, Four Winds Casinos’ vice president of hotel operations, said, “InvoTech is very beneficial to our operation. We now have an accurate combined uniform inventory count for all properties on one database and can purchase in larger numbers to benefit from higher volume buys. InvoTech enables us to make inter-property uniform transfers to reduce purchases and maintain par stocks. When we open Four Winds Dowagiac with InvoTech, we want to have an unmanned uniform room with the U-Pick-It system to automatically dispense uniforms with RFID tracking for total inventory control. Four Winds launders its own uniforms and utilizes an RFID drop-chute reader to record when staff returns soiled items. “InvoTech’s RFID drop-chute reader absolutely helps us track uniforms that come back to us from staff,” Lasiewicz stated. “It reads each uniform’s RFID chip as the garment is dropped. We do not manually count every piece the staff returns to our laundry. With a large number of employees, that would take a long time. InvoTech monitors uniforms coming and going at all properties and we maintain a central bulk inventory at Four Winds New Buffalo to simplify our operation. InvoTech installed all Four Winds Casinos’ systems and provided training on-site. Their people understand how we run our business; they are knowledgeable and very helpful.”
