The Knowland Group today announced that former TravelCLICK CEO Robert Post has joined Knowland’s board of directors. In addition to Mr. Post’s position on the board, he is also one of Knowland’s co-investors. Mr. Post is the retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TravelCLICK, Inc., the leading provider of global hotel e-commerce solutions, featuring the industry’s most advanced data analytics, electronic media and online merchandizing technology. He was responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company, which employs more than 500 people and supports over 15,000 customers in 140 countries.

Mr. Post is a 20-year veteran of the travel and hospitality industry. He joined the Chicago-based TravelCLICK as CFO in May 2004 and was named CEO in 2005. During his tenure, he grew the company from a $35M breakeven entity to a consistently performing $200M Revenue business with high double digit profitability for over 23 consecutive quarters driven via organic growth and selected acquisitions. Prior to joining TravelCLICK, Mr. Post was an executive and corporate officer at MICROS Systems, Inc., a leading hospitality technology provider. He began his role at MICROS in charge of strategic planning and then moved to an executive operating role integrating acquisitions in the hotel space and played a critical role in MICROS secondary NASDAQ offering.

Mr. Post is a former board member of Avatech Solutions (AVSO.OB) and a current Board member of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, a nationally recognized teaching hospital where he led a successful $20M fundraising campaign to build the new Walter and Herman Samuelson Children’s Hospital at Sinai, opening March 1, 2012. He was recognized as CEO of the Year Award for 2007 by the Illinois Information Technology Association and named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2008 and 2010. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia, PA for an advanced management certification.
