As a leader in hospitality development services, The John Hardy Group celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2012, coming off the heels of the opening of its third office, based in New York City.
The office is led by Robert Willis, senior project director, who, together Brent Hardy, project director and John Hardy, are driving the company’s expansion. Claude Amar, managing director (international) will continue to lead JHG’s efforts in Europe. “With two decades of hospitality development services, we will take our legacy of firstclasscreative thinking and service for property owners and investors into the next generation,” said John Hardy, president and CEO, The John Hardy Group. “Ever forward looking, we are developing new technologies and ways of efficiency (set to launch by 2013) that will ensure we make our processes even faster, smarter and better for years to come.”
Late 2012 will bring announcements of new software developments that will make
development services real time.
Developing High-Profile Destinations
JHG works as an advocate for its client base of hotel owners, investors and managers ensuring a well considered and measured plan for building assets internationally. Across its offices, development for several notable projects are underway: the 1,175- room, 49-suite Washington Marriott Marquis, the largest hotel currently under construction in the U.S.; public areas and exteriors of the Palace Hotel; Novotel Times Square, the brand’s U.S. flagship; and one program that will relaunch 79 total properties under both Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites flags.
Radical Innovation
The John Hardy Group co-founded the Radical Innovation competition with Hospitality Design magazine in 2006. The competition is designed to inspire the hospitality industry with new concepts that challenge the conventional guest experience. A prestigious team of leaders in the industry jury submissions from around the world and finalists are selected through a voting system during a live event. In 2013, the John Hardy Group will evolve and update the Radical Innovation competition. A call for entries will be announced in October 2012.
