The “Beyond All-Inclusive, Beyond All Compare” Velas Resorts expand on their spa offerings with the launch of six new custom essences available at their four luxury all-inclusive properties. The scents were created by Melin Castro Ardavin, Creative Director for Velas Resorts and President of MC Design of Guadalajara, after receiving numerous requests for the essences from guests who received aromatherapy, part of the guest arrival experience. Casa Velas, Velas’ boutique hotel in Puerto Vallarta, also offers aromatherapy in its public areas.
Depending on the essence, they can be used for everything from adding fragrance to a room and inhalation therapy to an addition to massage oils, candles and in incense burners. Many of the essences that are available are used during spa treatments in the resorts to enhance the sensory experience.

The essences can be purchased alone or with a white ceramic vessel, custom made for Velas Resorts by artisans in Tlaquepaque. Maintaining the resorts’ environmental sensibilities, the vessel comes in an organic box.
The vessel, a companion plate, and two essences come in an attractive presentation, perfect for gifts. The essences range from $26-78 for 1.78 ounces, and the gift sets start at $129, inclusive of 20% discount for two scents.
Other Velas spa products include artisanal ceramic tea sets that are used in the spa at the Grand Velas Riviera Maya to serve special teas that accompany select spa treatments.
