NEWH Las Vegas (The Hospitality Industry Network) is pleased to announce the 9th Annual HOSPY Awards which recognizes “Excellence in the Hospitality Industry”. The event will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Encore Ballroom 1-8, Encore at Wynn Las Vegas. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a No-Host Cocktail Reception/Silent Auction, followed by dinner and awards program. The dress is Classic Vegas – Mod 60’s attire.
The HOSPY Awards recognizes individuals and firms for extraordinary achievement in architecture, design, and development in the hospitality industry. The event raises funds for student scholarships in architecture, interior design, construction, hotel management, gaming management and culinary arts.
“At this year’s HOSPY Awards, in addition to the great talent and work our design community produces year after year, we will honor our industry’s contribution to Vegas Renaissance, Hospitality’s Lead in the Recovery,” commented Rich Gesteland, NEWH Las Vegas Chapter President. “We will celebrate the people, places and firms that have persevered, survived and, in many cases, set the pace and example for our city’s rebound. 2012 HOSPY Project Entry Submissions
NEWH Las Vegas encourages all designers, architects, general contractors and owners to enter the 9th Annual HOSPY Awards Competition. Entries must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2012. Entry fees are $100 for the first project and $75 for each additional project. With regards to the design competition, we invite you to submit any project, not already awarded in previous years’ HOSPY awards, completed between January 1, 2010 and September 21, 2012.
The project must have been designed by a Las Vegas firm, or be located in Las Vegas, for consideration. Categories, criteria, and submission requirements are listed on our website, www.newh.org/hospy-welcome-page. We’ve instituted an efficient, user-friendly format by which you can upload your design submissions electronically. Once you sign up on the website, you will be sent an email with the particulars & access to the FTP site.
Entries for Southern Nevada firms: Any new construction project or renovation project completed between January 1, 2010 and September 21, 2012 anywhere in the world is eligible for submission.
Entries for firms outside Southern Nevada: If you have completed new construction or renovation on a project in Southern Nevada according to the above timeline, your firm is eligible to participate.

Reservations
Early Bird pricing is available prior to October 1, 2012 at $200 (per person), $1,600 (table of eight) and $2,000 (table of 10). After October 1, 2012 the price is $225 (per person); $1,800 (table of eight) and $2,250 (table of 10). No reservations will be accepted after October 22, 2012
NEWH Las Vegas is also accepting Live and Silent Auction Donations. Those who donate will be recognized in the event program as well as the auction tables.
