The newly opened Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Event Center has unveiled its newest hotel amenity, the well-appointed Cedar Spa. This venue, with four private rooms for body therapies, such as body wraps and massages, and manicure and pedicure stations pampers visiting patrons and the local public. Natural river rock, rich wood and beautiful local plants surround you to bring you peace and tranquility for a complete escape.

Whether you choose a day spa package or decide to indulge in a luxurious facial, a relaxing hot stone massage or a calming manicure and pedicure you will receive the most professional spa services in Southeast Idaho. The Cedar Spa also offers a sauna or aromatherapy inhalation room infused with a blend of local essential oils like Cedar Wood to smooth muscle aches and calm senses and Clary Sage which has anti-depressant properties. The attentive and well trained staff is here to take away your stress and get you back in touch with nature.

Hotel guests and local day guests can also utilize the new spa for pool access and sauna enjoyment. Guests can enjoy herbal teas in a private reception room while cooling down and awaiting the introduction to their certified therapist. The tribal-themed spa facilitates therapy with locally available products, and plant influenced extracts to ensure that the spa environment cultivates tradition and culture.

“The pampering of guests in our spa is just the type of personal service that uniquely sets our hotel apart in the region,” said Jim Metzger, Director of Hospitality. “We want all our guests to experience the personal service that is provided in the Chief’s Event Center and our deluxe hotel rooms—and a spa experience represents just how we personalize guest interaction.”

The Cedar Spa is managed by Nichelle Laabs who had been in the spa industry for twelve years. She is a licensed aesthetician and nail technician. She has opened several spas in Oregon including Black Butte Ranch, Salishan and Rumi Simone. Nichelle is very happy to be closer to her family in Idaho and be part of opening a beautiful and successful spa. “I am very excited to be a part of this beautiful spa,” said Nichelle. “We cater to all types of clients including both traveling guests and locals. We carry wonderful products from the local area that I feel clients will love. I look forward to getting to know all the people that will visit us.”
