Cary Roy Named New Sous Chef At Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort And Spa

 The AAA Four Diamond Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa, the newest luxury resort on Florida’s west coast, announces the appointment of Chef Cary Roy to the position of sous chef.

“We are proud to have Chef Roy serve as our new sous chef,” said General Manager Brian Kramer.  “He is well qualified for the role and his passion and knowledge of the positive value and benefits fresh, local, sustainable foods have on the local community is in-line with the resort’s industry-leading philosophy Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served.”

Sous Chef Roy will be responsible for assisting Executive Chef Preston in the resort’s overall culinary offerings, helping to oversee all dining outlets:  SHOR American Seafood Grill, featuring a dramatic show kitchen and panoramic Gulf views; Swim, a casual poolside eatery with a Pan-Latino fusion menu; Skimmers, a grab-and-go coffee station by day and lively lobby bar by night; and banquet as well as in-room dining.

Recently the resort launched a new, innovative menu, “For Kids By Kids,” which provides more nutritious, fresh and interactive offerings for children. The menu is grounded in Hyatt’s industry-leading philosophy Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served. – promoting healthy people, a healthy planet and healthy communities – and has been developed in association with the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA). As part of the roll out, separate from the PHA commitment, Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach will also offer a three-course organic menu for children developed exclusively by renowned food pioneer and chef, Alice Waters.
