Loews Hotels & Resorts today announced that Mark Weiss has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage, effective immediately. Weiss will be responsible for the development of vibrant and creative new F&B programming for guests.
He joins Loews Hotels with more than 20 years of experience in food and beverage operations at some of the hospitality industry’s most notable companies. For 10 years, Weiss led The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company as Corporate Director of Food & Beverage and eventually became Vice President of Operations International.
While with Ritz-Carlton, Weiss opened 23 hotels, overseeing the strategy, execution and management of the food, beverage and rooms division. He held several top management positions at the coveted Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, and began his career with Ritz-Carlton at the Ritz-Carlton Palm Springs.

Most recently, Weiss was founder and CEO of Whisk Group, a restaurant development company based in Maryland that managed and opened several restaurants.
A graduate from the De Hamert Hotel School in the Netherlands, his native country, Weiss started his hospitality career at the Four Seasons Hotel in Auckland, New Zealand.
