The Ritz-Carlton, Denver is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Steven Szenasi as Director of Catering Sales. Most recently, Mr. Szenasi served as Director of Weddings at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples.
Mr. Szenasi has an extensive background in the hospitality industry and brings more than 15 years of experience to The Ritz-Carlton, Denver. His savvy has earned him several advancements during his five years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company – which began at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples. In the span of his tenure with the renowned destination resort, Mr. Szenasi held several key positions including Meetings & Special Events Manager and Catering Sales Manager -- ultimately overseeing an impressive $2 million wedding and social catering operation. Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, he served as Catering Coordinator at the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club.
Hailing from Hungary, Steven attended Karoly Gundel Hospitality and Culinary School in his hometown of Budapest. Upon completion, he was quickly hired to managed a five-star cruise ship restaurant for Peter Deilmann Cruise Line in Germany. Nine years later Szenasi migrated to the United States, where he continued his education at Florida’s Edison State College, majoring in Business Administration and graduating with Honors.
Steven is embracing all the Mile-High City offers – exploring much of it by foot and the expansive views from his home. He enjoys traveling throughout Europe when visiting his family in Hungary, honing his culinary skills and flying planes with his pilot’s license. Steven also adds to the cosmopolitan flair of The Ritz-Carlton, Denver with his proficiency in four languages. When he’s not indulging in pastimes that bring him joy, Szenasi makes a difference in others’ lives by volunteering on behalf of junior development programs, shelters supporting battered women and children and breast cancer organizations.
The Ritz-Carlton, Denver is located at 1881 Curtis Street in downtown Denver and opened in January 2008. The hotel is situated on the first 14 floors of a 19-story facility, which provides easy access to the 16th Street Mall, as well as Coors Field and lower downtown. The hotel includes 202 guest rooms, including 47 suites and 32 Club Level rooms and one Ritz-Carlton Suite. The property also includes The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Denver and ELWAY’S Downtown, the hotel’s signature restaurant.
