Jeffrey A. Raday, President of McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce the completion of the aloft Bolingbrook located at 500 Janes Avenue within the new open-air town center, The Promenade Bolingbrook, situated at Boughton Road near I-355, in Bolingbrook, Illinois. McShane Construction completed the four-story, 155-room, 77,352 square foot hospitality assignment on behalf of Chesapeake, Virginia-based developer LTD Management Company, LLC. The Promenade Bolingbrook is a contemporary mixed-use development featuring over one million square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment in a pedestrian-friendly environment.
“The completion of this prominent hotel property further enhances McShane’s portfolio of hospitality work,” remarks Raday. “Since this is McShane’s second completion of an aloft project within the Chicago area, we’ve gained considerable experience and knowledge of constructing the contemporary features found at this high profile property.”
“The completion of aloft Bolingbrook is a milestone for LTD. The hotel’s exterior displays a contemporary color scheme with complementary accents and roofing materials. The design is intended to capture the attention and image of the local area as well as appeal to business and leisure travelers. The completed hotel features a loft-inspired design comprised of 155 guest rooms, a fully-featured lobby, state-of-the-art equipped meeting room, fitness center and pool. The completed project includes aloft’s signature w xyz bar, offering a fashionable lounge atmosphere. The aloft Bolingbrook rooms offer a “total sensory experience” with guest lofts boasting nine-foot ceilings and oversized windows that create a bright, airy environment.
Aloft is a division of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and is known for its contemporary design. Starwood created the aloft brand as a spin-off of its successful W Hotels franchise. Catering to the needs of the tech-savvy traveler, the aloft property offers a significantly more modern design, features and amenities than traditional hotels.
McShane Construction also completed all sitework, landscaping and surface parking as part of the construction award. Campbell Architects provided the architectural services for this hospitality project.
