Rob Smith Named New General Manager Of Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Carlson Hotels Worldwide has appointed Rob Smith as general manager for the AAA Four Diamond Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa. Smith comes to Radisson Aruba Resort as a leader in the island’s hospitality industry for over a decade and brings 25 years of hospitality experience from throughout the Southeast and Caribbean.

“We are proud to bring Rob Smith, seasoned with such a distinguished background, to the Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa, which is the brand’s flagship resort,” states Fredrik Korallus, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Radisson Hotels & Resorts of the Americas.

Most recently, Smith served as president and chief executive officer of the Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association.

Rob has been active in the local community for almost 13 years, and has a strong working knowledge of Spanish and the local language of Papiamento. He resides on the island with his wife and four children. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida specializing in Business Finance and American Studies.
