Luxury Bathrobes and Bath & Bed Linens

Sheffield, MA – Cypress Hotel & Spa, a leading supplier of luxury bathrobes, towels, sheets, and related amenities to the lodging and spa industries, has again been awarded top honors in the prestigious ADEX Awards competition, sponsored by Design Journal Magazine. 2006 marks the second straight year that Cypress products have received this honor. In the 2005 ADEX competition, Cypress earned a Platinum award for their unique MicroCrest™ bathrobe, as well as a Gold award for their King's Choice™ towel collection. In the recent 2006 competition, Cypress added four additional ADEX awards to the company's collection. These latest honors include a Silver award for the Cypress microchenille blanket throw; a Gold award for their children's bathrobe; and two Platinum awards for the luxurious new microchenille bathrobe and the new Riviera™ towel collection. All four awards were received in the Hospitality Linens category of the ADEX Awards judging.

The ADEX Awards are given in recognition of excellence in product design, and are given on an annual basis, with winners announced each January. The winning products are judged by an independent panel of experts that represent a cross section of the design industry, including interiors, architecture, graphics, product, and industrial design. The awards are sponsored by Design Journal Magazine, the industry’s premier trade publication for design and architecture, with a circulation of over 70,000 subscribers. ADEX stands for “Award for Design Excellence” and is the largest and most prestigious awards program in the design industry.

"We are honored that our products have once again been recognized by Design Journal and the ADEX Award judges," said Gene Faul, Chief Executive Officer of Cypress. “We continue to uphold some of the highest quality standards in the industry, and that same high standard also applies to the design process. This is added assurance to our customers that they can expect only the best from Cypress products.”

The Cypress products earning 2006 ADEX Platinum Awards, the microchenille bathrobe and the Riviera™ towel collection, were both introduced within the past year. The 100% cotton ring-spun Riviera toweling is available in white or natural, and features a fancy dobby border that provides both style and durability. A full range of sizes is available, including washcloths, hand towels, bath towels and bath mats.

Also earning a 2006 Platinum ADEX, Cypress’s luxurious new microchenille bathrobe is constructed of 100% micro chenille polyester. This revolutionary fabric represents a technological leap in both comfort and convenience, with unsurpassed performance in the wash and an average drying time of just 18 minutes for a large robe. The matching microchenille blanket throw was awarded a Silver ADEX in the 2006 competition.

In addition to the Gold ADEX award, Cypress’s children’s bathrobe is also the only children’s bathrobe on the market that passes the rigid U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission standards for flammability. It is constructed from specially developed thread and flame-retardant fabric, in order to achieve this very important designation.

As an established name among both upscale chains and independent properties, Cypress has been providing some of the most luxurious guest amenity bathrobes in the industry for nearly a quarter of a century. Their products can be found in many leading hotels, resorts and spas around the world, including the guestrooms of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
