LOS ANGELES--The Gehr Group (www.gehr.com) announced the promotion of Mr. Ed Duess to the executive team at its hotel-focused division, Gehr Hospitality, as Vice President, Asset Management.

“Ed joined our team at Gehr Hospitality last year, and he quickly impressed us with his professional skills and industry expertise,” said David Lifschitz, President and CEO of The Gehr Group. “In his new role, Ed will oversee the operations of our expanding portfolio of hospitality assets.”

“Ed has been a great addition to our team,” added Thuong Luong, Chief Investment Officer of Gehr Hospitality. “I am very pleased with his promotion and I am excited about the future of our hotel portfolio, as we accelerate our growth.”

Prior to joining Gehr, Ed spent a decade in hotel operations with notable properties like The Beverly Hilton, The London West Hollywood, and The Hollywood Roosevelt, gaining experience in front office operations, food and beverage, and sales. While attending UCLA for his graduate studies, Ed worked at DiNapoli Capital Partners, underwriting prospective acquisitions and maintaining asset management for the firm’s portfolio. Ed holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University in Hospitality Administration, and a Masters of Business Administration from UCLA, focusing on Real Estate and Finance Strategy.
