Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the premier manager of ultra-luxury properties around the world, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren V. Carr to Director of Sales & Marketing for Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. In this role, Carr is responsible for developing and implementing innovative sales and marketing strategies for the iconic Five-Diamond property.

Carr joins Rosewood Hotels & Resorts following five years with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Most recently, Carr served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Fairmont Newport Beach. Previously, she spent three years as Fairmont Washington, D.C. as Director of Group Sales, where she led the team to become Fairmont’s Sales Team of the Year for 2008.

“Lauren has an accomplished background in the hotel industry and brings a wealth of sales and marketing experience to Las Ventanas,” said Martein van Wagenberg, Managing Director of Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort. “2013 is an important year for us as the resort continues to expand its luxury offerings and we are confidant that her expertise and exceptional management skills will be key factors in the execution and success of this project.”
Carr began her hospitality career with Marriott International in 2002, where she held Sales Manager positions in New York City for several years before moving to the Renaissance Mayflower Washington D.C. as Senior Account Executive in 2006. During her tenure with Marriott, Carr was the recipient of Marriott International’s 2003 Sales Manager of the Year Award.

Carr holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Administration from Boston University. She currently resides in Newport Beach, California.
