Hotelco, a Portland-based hotel management company, today announced that they have assumed management of the 100-room Eagle Lodge & Suites in in Eagle, Colorado. The hotel was recently acquired by an affiliate of Hotelco for an undisclosed price.
“The Eagle Lodge was a very opportunistic acquisition with tremendous upside potential,” said Bill Lanting, president of Hotelco. “We continue to seek out similar opportunities throughout the United States, where we can deploy our expertise in the renovation and repositioning of select-service and full-service hotels.” Two additional takeovers are scheduled for the month of February.
Located at 200 Loren Lane, the hotel is situated at the Eby Creek off-ramp of Interstate 70. Because of its strategic location, the Eagle Lodge & Suites is well-positioned to serve business, government and leisure travelers,” Lanting said. “The hotel is ideal for families traveling through the area, with spacious loft rooms containing as many as six queen-sized beds.”
Eagle is located just 24 miles west of the internationally-celebrated ski resorts of Vail and Beaver Creek. Eagle is also home to the area’s principal airport, Eagle County Regional Airport, which is just five miles west of the Eagle Lodge & Suites.
The Eagle Lodge has the charming decor of a rustic ski lodge and the amenities of an upscale hotel, including a full-size health club and two meeting rooms. Hotelco is planning an extensive renovation of the facility and anticipates affiliating the hotel with a national select-service brand.
