Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa, the island’s premier luxury leisure resort, has appointed seasoned Hyatt veterans Joel Bunde as general manager and Braedan Quigley as director of sales and marketing. With the resort’s 25th anniversary approaching on April 1, 2013, Hyatt Key West looks forward to welcoming both new and repeat guests to celebrate this significant milestone with these experienced and talented leaders at the helm.

As general manager, Joel Bunde will further extend his 19 years of hospitality management experience at Hyatt Key West. Prior to his appointment, Bunde spent more than 16 years as executive assistant manager at Hyatt Regency Curacao, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, Hyatt Regency Indianapolis and Park Hyatt Carmel. As general manager, he will oversee all operations at the 118-room luxury waterfront resort as it approaches its 25th year. A graduate of Iowa State University, Bunde holds a Bachelor of Science in hotel and restaurant management.

As director of sales and marketing, Braedan Quigley will use his 11 years of industry experience to manage, train and supervise the sales and marketing departments, develop and execute creative new strategies and manage the annual sales and marketing budgets for Hyatt Key West as well as Hyatt Regency Aruba. His new role also includes overseeing all sales and marketing strategies for Hyatt’s latest project in The Bahamas: Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar, expected to open in 2014.

Prior to his new role, Quigley enjoyed successful tenures as director of sales and marketing for Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa & Marina, director of sales for Hyatt Regency O’Hare and Hyatt Rosemont and associate director of sales for Grand Hyatt Denver. His additional experience includes serving as the national sales manager of Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahamas. Quigley holds a Bachelor of Science in hotel restaurant and institutional management from Pennsylvania State University.
