BITAC® Europe is going global. Effective immediately BITAC® Europe is changing its name to BITAC® Global. The name change is meant to better reflect the event’s focus.
Though originally expected to focus on Europe and nearby surrounding, demand from companies in other regions to participate in this event is changing its scope and scale. To better reflect that need for a smartly focusing matchmaking event in high growth regions, BITAC® Global will incorporate the Middle East, Western Asia, North Africa and more into the mix. People are craving a strong meeting’s alternative and this newly reconfigured BITAC.
BITAC® Global is set to be held June 9 – 11, 2013 in Monaco. This event will answer the needs of suppliers and buyers needing a strong conduit into the global marketplace. As the hotel business continues to expand rapidly in many previously underdeveloped areas, this event will bring buyers and suppliers together from markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North Africa for a unique brand building experience.
The global hotel market is in the midst of an unprecedented building boom with 3,817 hotels and 706,088 rooms under construction. Incredibly 90 percent of the under construction pipeline is outside the United States, according to the real estate firm Lodging Econometrics. Even more exciting is that 24 of the top 25 Average Daily Rate markets in the world are outside of the U.S.
“The U.S. is a mature market and well diversified in all the brands along the chain scales. This is not the case in many global destination markets and there is much room for growth,” said Bruce Ford, SVP Sales with Lodging Econometrics. “A top priority for global hotel companies is to expand their chain scale reach in every global destination and we see that happening with such a robust and powerful global hotel pipeline.”
BITAC® Global will take the renowned BITAC® formula perfected in the United States and introduce it into the global marketplace. Additionally, the event will serve as a launching pad for companies looking to relationship build with the industry’s foremost hospitality professionals from around the globe.
“Our customers are asking us to take our unique BITAC meetings formula and expand it to the places where they most want to do business,” said Rich Viola, President and CEO of Hotel Interactive, Inc. “And that means moving into new segments and markets we feel can best help the BITAC family grow their businesses through our distinctive meetings experience.”
Suppliers are constantly looking for ways to foster and forge relationships to get access to companies building, renovating and repositioning hotels globally, while buyers are looking for a more efficient way to source the right products and services they need to gain the competitive edge. And they’re learning new pathways to success at BITAC®. In fact, a study by Belden Associates concluded that 93 percent of those interviewed indicated BITAC was preferred over all other events utilizing a similar format.
The centerpiece of every BITAC event is, of course, our series the highly qualified and personalized face-to-face meetings. Held over a two-day plus period, it’s here that suppliers and buyers are set up in a matchmaking formula based on each other’s specific needs. It’s a next natural step in the evolution of business, and paramount to future success.
BITAC® events may be renowned for their highly pre-qualified face-to-face meetings, but the educational panels have become the place for high level hoteliers to have exchange ideas while examining the latest in industry trends and emerging opportunities. These highly interactive panel discussions don’t just cut through the clutter to provide actionable solutions for attendees; they create news while educating buyers and suppliers with strategies necessary to accentuate their mutually beneficial relationships.
