After an almost two-year foreclosure process, the Palm Beach Oceanfront Inn has been sold, and the new owners are already making moves for improvement.

The almost 50-year old property, formerly known as the Palm Beach Hawaiian Ocean Inn www.palmbeachoceanfrontinn.com and affectionately referred to by locals as “the Hawaiian,” is tucked in between condo buildings and sits across the street from Palm Beach City Hall.  The hotel consists of 58 guest rooms and “The Tides Bar & Grille” perched above the Palm Beach shore.

A popular venue for local political victory parties, fishing tournament award ceremonies and weddings, there are few destinations like it on the Palm Beach coast that are open to the public at an affordable price point. The Inn sits on the same strip of beach that  includes the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons Hotels.  Gary Cohen, a Delray resident and a representative of the ownership group said, “We look forward to a new era for this Palm Beach landmark and appreciate the outpour of excitement and support from the locals that we have received thus far.  In the near future we will announce our long-term plans for the site.  In the meantime we will make physical and operational improvements to bring the hotel and restaurant up to a higher standard for locals and tourists to enjoy.”  Palm Beach Ocean Front Inn www.palmbeachoceanfrontinn.com, 3550 South Ocean Boulevard, Palm Beach, FL, Tel:  561 855 7575

The new ownership group has engaged professional hotel management company Trust Hospitality to manage the property.  Trust manages independent boutique and luxury hotels in the US, Caribbean and Latin America.
