Hotel Interactive®, Inc., (www.hotelinteractive.com) is proud to announce TV Host and foodie expert Mark DeCarlo will be presenting a keynote address at the upcoming BITAC Food & Beverage East (www.bitac.net). The event is set to be held at the El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo Puerto Rico from January 27-19, 2013.
Mark DeCarlo is an Emmy® Award winner in both 2011 and 2012 for his work on Chicago’s daily show Windy City LIVE as well as a Comedian/Travel & Food Expert. DeCarlo was also host of the popular Travel Channel series “Taste of America with Mark DeCarlo,” which he hosted for four seasons. On the show he crisscrossed the United States in search of delicious food and what he calls “quirky zealots who champion ancestral recipes and down-home stories.”
DeCarlo also has a bestselling book titled “A Fork on the Road: 400 Cities, 1 Stomach,” a comedic travelogue/cook book published by Lyons Press in 2011.
In an exciting BITAC keynote session DeCarlo will deliver a comedic performance called “Travel on Your Tongue: How to Travel Like a Celebrity Chef”. During this presentation he will showcase regional culinary diversity using funny video clips from his Travel Channel series and present tales of 2012 America that, according to Amazon.com calls to mind “Steinbeck’s Travels with Charley… as a snapshot of our country through the lens of food and the people who passionately prepare it.”
