Resorts Casino Hotel announced today that Mark Giannantonio will take over as President and C.E.O. of the property effective Monday, January 7, 2013 and Mark Sachais will take on the role of Vice President of Hotel Operations subject to regulatory approval.

Mark Giannantonio joined the Resorts team in September 2012 as Vice President of Hotel Operations and quickly made recommendations and instituted policies to improve the experiences for guests and team members alike. Mark's previous experience includes over 20 years at Tropicana Casino and Resort last serving as their President and C.E.O.

“Mark Giannantonio has already proven to be a very strong asset and we are confident in his abilities to lead Resorts as it embarks on a new era with the addition of the Margaritaville entertainment complex,” said Gary Van Hettinga, President of Mohegan Gaming Advisors. “We are excited about all of the opportunities Resorts will have in 2013, and we feel Mark is the perfect choice.”

Subject to regulatory approval, Resorts will also name Mark Sachais as Vice President of Hotel Operations where he will oversee all aspects of the hotel, food and beverage, and facilities operations. Sachais has more than 20 years of experience in gaming, including his most recent role as general manager of Trump Marina. His background in all aspects of the gaming industry, including positions as Vice President of Marketing and Finance, will help provide key insights in his position overseeing all non-gaming operations at Resorts.

"We are very excited to have Mark join our team," said Van Hettinga. "He has a wealth of talent and will play a very important role in our future success"

These management appointments come on the heels of Mohegan Gaming Advisors assuming the management responsibilities for Resorts Casino Hotel in October 2012. The partnership allows for cross-marketing and promotional opportunities, increased resources and the ability to offer guests three varied experiences in Atlantic City, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
