Chef Billy Deaver Introduces New Culinary ‘market Showcase’ To Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa

Fresh from his September appointment as Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa’s new Executive Chef, Billy Deaver has unveiled a new Market Showcase – a local farmer’s market program through relationships with local purveyors.

Capitalizing on his strong passion for farm-to-table dining, Chef Billy Deaver is bringing the concept one step further with a monthly on-property produce market, in the heart of the resort’s plaza. One Thursday every month, a select group of local farmers will feature an array of succulent vegetables, fruits, herbs and other specialty items, harvested or produced in the desert’s rich agricultural region. The Market Showcase will also feature a $5 tasting of wine and seasonal beverages.

For the ultimate dining experience, guests can deliver their fresh bounty direct to Rancho Las Palmas’ signature restaurant, bluEmber, where Chef Deaver will prepare a specialized menu complete with wine pairings. On Friday nights, Chef is also available to share his expertise during intimate culinary events while guests and their small parties can enjoy their perfectly cooked hand-picked ingredients from the Rancho produce market.

Chef’s Market Showcase is just one of the newest offerings in the newly revamped food & beverage department. Last month, Chef Deaver rolled out “Billy’s Burger Bar” at R Bar; a small plates menu featuring 10 different varieties of sliders highlighting regional flavor profiles from across the country.
