Courtyard Kaua’i At Coconut Beach Hires New Dos And Catering Manager

Courtyard Kaua’i at Coconut Beach is proud to announce the addition of Damon Lockrem as the hotel’s director of sales and Jennifer Delaporte as catering manager, who will continue the hotel’s trend of excellent service with its warm aloha spirit. Both Lockrem and Delaporte bring years of hospitality experience and commitment to service to their new positions.

Lockrem hails most recently from Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter where he was director of sales and marketing for six years. In his more than 15 years working in the field at multiple resorts in the San Diego area, Lockrem has managed large sales teams and exceeded financial goals year after year.

Delaporte comes to Courtyard Kaua’i at Coconut Beach with an extensive background in event planning and hospitality marketing. Most recently she worked with Orchid Alley Kaua’i and as a lead consultant at Off To Market Business Solutions. Her knowledge of the local market, certification as a wedding professional, and managing a variety of projects and events will help bring Courtyard Kaua’i at Coconut Beach’s events and catering to new heights.

Courtyard Kaua’i at Coconut Beach completed an extensive $13 million dollar renovation of its property, unveiled earlier this year. Following its renovation, the hotel now features beautifully refurbished exterior facades and detailing, including lush landscaping, a reconfigured pool, Jacuzzi and pool deck with a decorative fire feature. Lounge chairs and comfortable seating areas surrounding the new pool provide ample opportunities to enjoy the oceanfront setting both by day and night. 

The staff’s warm aloha spirit embraces guests as they enter the hotel’s new lobby, with its stunning lofted atrium and contemporary lighting features. After receiving complimentary mai tais at check in, guests will feel right at home on the island of Kaua’i. The resort’s ocean-view restaurant, Voyager Grill and pool-side cocktail lounge, Cook’s Landing, are serving new menus which complement the fresh new décor. Under the direction of Chef Rafael Camarillo, guests can enjoy upscale Hawaiian regional cuisine featuring fresh ingredients from local farms.
