Hilton Tucson El Conquistador today announced the appointment of Ronald (Ronnie) Collins as the director of sales and marketing. As the principal of this vital function, Collins will oversee all aspects of sales and marketing for the award-winning resort which is set to complete a $6 million transformation this summer.

Most recently, Collins served as director of sales and marketing at The Westin La Cantera Hill Country Resort, San Antonio where he played an integral role in turning around a distressed sales team and greatly increased total hotel revenue and helped exceed hotel bookings and market share goals. Prior to this, Collins was the director of sales and marketing of The Westin Park Central Hotel in Dallas where he led the sales team in a rapid year over year growth of full hotel revenue and performance sales goals. Collins also held several management positions in sales at the Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa in Phoenix and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. He began his career in hospitality in 1993 as the assistant restaurant manager of Lantana Grille at Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak in Phoenix.
Collins completed three years toward a Bachelor of Sciences in Communications at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He is passionate about the hospitality industry and is skilled at managing both operational and sales and marketing divisions with attention to staff development and management.
