Noble House Hotels & Resorts, Ltd. (NHHR) – a collection of luxury hotels and resorts – announces the appointment of Terri Gum as National Sales Manager to Gateway Canyons Resort. In this position, Gum will provide leadership for the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the strategic goals of the resort.

Boasting more than 22 years of hotel sales and marketing experience in the hospitality industry, Gum recently held the role of Director of National Sales at Hyatt Hotels Corporation, where she was responsible for developing and cultivating new accounts, creating and implementing quarterly sales & marketing plans, in addition to achieving an annual sales production of $12M. Gum also successfully maintained and built client relationships, negotiated sales contracts on a continual basis within all levels of corporation and organizations, while strengthening her expertise with strong negotiation skills to overcome objections, excellent communication with internal team members and successful maintenance of annual budgets.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Terri to the Gateway Canyons Resort family,” says Ken Stone, General Manager at Gateway Canyons Resort. “With her history of success in the hospitality industry, Terri has proven herself an expert in the field of hotel sales and marketing with a track record of goal-oriented performance.”

Among her exceptional sales experience, Gum also gained a strong sense of effective sales tactics as a realtor serving the Dallas area, where she exceeded $1.5 million in annual sales revenues and served as a member of the Leadership Academy Member class of 2010-2011.

Cradled in the shadow of the Palisade rock formation and fringing the Moab Desert, Discovery Channel founder John Hendricks unveils Gateway Canyons Resort, created to nourish guests’ curiosity through intellectual stimulation and adventure within a naturally intriguing environment. Boasting luxury accommodations and breathtaking views within the spectacular red rock canyons of western Colorado, Gateway Canyons Resort – part of the Noble House Hotels & Resorts collection – caters to the most discerning traveler with savory dining options at Entrada Restaurant, wellness-focused treatments at The Spa, private tours aboard luxury aircraft, privileged access to more than 100 years of automotive history at the Gateway Colorado Auto Museum and a variety of self-selected experiential activities offered through the Curiosity Adventure program and on-site Adventure Center.

With a philosophy that emphasizes “location, distinction and soul,” Noble House Hotels & Resorts reflects the appearance of individuality. Identifying each property for its culture and appeal, Noble House is unwavering in its dedication to create and manage unique, quality properties that reflect and make profound contributions to their communities, staying true to the local history, culture and ambiance that defines each region.
