John G. Oakley joins Swissôtel Chicago as Director of Sales and Marketing. Over the past 15 years, Oakley has solidified his reputation as a dynamic, goal-oriented management professional in the hospitality industry. Swissôtel Chicago enthusiastically welcomes Oakley with the expectation that his proven experience will enable him to excel in his new position.
As Director of Sales and Marketing at Swissôtel Chicago, Oakley will be responsible for developing a strategic sales plan along with overseeing the sales, catering and convention services teams, with the intention of increasing meetings and event business.

Oakley has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the U.S. hospitality market. He joined Sheraton New Orleans Catering & Convention Services in 1999, and has grown within the hospitality industry ever since.
From the Sheraton New Orleans, he then moved to Senior Sales Manager for Westin Tabor Centre in Denver. Due to his promotion within the Westin group, he moved first to The Westin Riverwalk, San Antonio as Director of Group Sales before becoming Director of Sales at The Westin Galleria & Westin Oaks, Houston.
Oakley holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Houston.
