Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), a privately owned hotel ownership and management group based in Atlanta, today announced that it has assumed management of three independent, beachfront hotels in Daytona Beach, FL. The three hotels are:
• Plaza Ocean Club Hotel, 640 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32118; 386-256-1280; 206 guest rooms with ocean views; 6,000 square feet of meeting space including the 4,700-square-foot Blue Herron Ballroom; full-service, oceanfront restaurant; within walking distance of the Daytona Beach Ocean Center and Ocean Walk Shoppes; outdoor pool; adjacent to 15,000-square-foot Ocean Waters Spa.
• Acapulco Hotel & Resort, 2505 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach Shores, FL 32118; 386-256-1280; 133 guest rooms with ocean views and private balconies located on the quiet southern part of Daytona Beach Shores; lounge; outdoor pool; extended stay, efficiency rooms with 2-burner stove-top.
• Mayan Inn, 103 S. Ocean Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32118; 386-256-1280; 110 guest rooms with ocean views and private balconies including some rooms with full kitchens; meeting space for up to 40 people; lounge with live entertainment; seasonal Tiki bar; outdoor pool; adjacent to many of Daytona Beach’s favorite restaurants and nightclubs.

HVMG added eight hotels to its portfolio in 2011 (a 36% growth rate) and has already added five hotels in 2012 so far. Last month, the firm also assumed management of The Advanced Center for Training, an IACC-certified conference center in St. Charles, IL that offers over 20,000 square feet of meeting space. In 2010, HVMG added seven hotels (a 33% growth rate) despite one of the tougher operating and growth environments in the history of the hotel industry.
