The Kessler Collection proudly announces Bruce Ruggs as the new ranch manager of its 23,000-acre luxury guest ranch, Kessler Canyon. Ruggs’ duties as ranch manager include overseeing ranch operations, management of staff, budgeting, project management and ensuring elite guest interaction.

“Ruggs’ extensive hospitality knowledge and experience in travel for the outdoor enthusiast make him the ideal candidate for our luxurious wildlife retreat,” said Mr. Richard C. Kessler chairman and CEO of The Kessler Collection. “With an extremely impressive background in all aspects of the hospitality industry, especially in luxury lodging, Ruggs brings an expertise in management, food and beverage operations, extraordinary guest experiences and a well-rounded hospitality knowledge to Kessler Canyon. The Kessler Collection is thrilled to have him as a lead Grand Performer.”

Bruce Ruggs attended Oklahoma State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Ruggs began working at the Keystone Resort in 1981, where he opened and operated a new restaurant on property, The Cadillac Restaurant, and became general manager of the Inn at Keystone. A few years later, he also gained valuable experience managing Keystone Rafting, Keystone Gulch, Flying Dutchman & Soda Spring, Keystone Lodging Operations and most recently, the Great Divide Lodge.

Hidden deep within the canyons, resting on the valley floor, Kessler Canyon, a member of the Marriott Autograph Collection, awaits travelers ready to awaken their adventurous spirits. Built originally as a private ranch, the Kessler family now invites guests to come enjoy a place they hold near and dear to their heart. Among whispering aspens, this Colorado wildlife retreat offers luxuriously designed facilities and total solitude with plenty of options for guests to delve into a venturesome escape. Set on 23,000 acres of natural splendor to explore, outdoor recreation is the cornerstone of Kessler Canyon. For active adventurers, horseback riding, ATV tours, mountain biking and hiking will take guests up 8,000 ft into the mountains to explore nature at its most primitive state.
