Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla, a 208-room upscale business hotel spread over 2.1 acres, is reaching final stages of completion. The capital city’s newest hotel is expected to launch later this month. Crowne Plaza is one of the world’s fastest growing business hotel brands from InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the world’s largest hotel group by number of rooms. Globally, there are 366 Crowne Plazas with 100,994 rooms in over 60 countries. IHG has another 129 Crowne Plaza hotels in the pipeline, more than half of which (72) are in the Asia Pacific region. Truly international, Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla offers premium accommodation, designed for the discerning business and leisure traveller who appreciates simplified elegance combined with the practicality of the latest features, as well as value for money.

Situated in the heart of South Delhi, Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla is barely 27 km from Indira Gandhi International Airport and 25 km from the Domestic Airport. Elaborating on the hotel’s progress, Mr. Barun Jolly, General Manager, Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla, said, “Conveniently located in proximity of key commercial hubs, this Crowne Plaza is set to become South Delhi’s newest business address and dining landmark. Most of the construction has already been completed including the lobby, meeting rooms, ball rooms, two restaurants, the French Patisserie, guest rooms and back of the house. Other than these, we will also be launching 9 meeting room options that can accommodate 10 to 400 guests at a time.”

Commenting on the various F&B options to be opened at the hotel, Mr. Jolly said, “We’ll open an all-day dining restaurant with 180 covers, live counters, interactive chefs and a spread of gourmet delights from across the continents. A unique attraction at the hotel will be the 80-seater restaurant offering authentic Chinese and Italian cuisines under one roof. F&B options will also include a French Patisserie with 20 covers offering specialty tea and coffee, variety of delectable cakes, pastries, breads and quick eats.”

Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla will boast of as high as 60-65% guest area to receive natural day light, which is one of the highest among hotels in Delhi. This will reduce the electricity consumption in lighting up lobbies etc. in day time, besides adding a distinct freshness to the hotel premises.

The hotel provides a spectacular view of the historic Tughlaqabad Fort, and is within close proximity of Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range on Surajkund road, the newly-renovated world-class sporting venue for the Commonwealth Shooting Championship. The hotel is also easily accessible from business districts like Nehru Place, New Friends Colony, NOIDA, Mohan Cooperative and Faridabad. Commonwealth Games Village and Pragati Maidan are also within few kilometers only.
