Hospitality industry veteran George Jordan has been appointed Area General Manager for the Hotel Felix Chicago and Hotel Cass, according to Ed Doherty, president and CEO of Bricton Group, Inc., the management company and a principal investor for both downtown boutique hotels. Jordan most recently served as general manager for the Raffaello Hotel in Chicago where he oversaw the redevelopment and hotel condo sales for the previous Rafael Hotel, and secured the lease agreement for that property’s anchor restaurant, Pelago.

“George’s solid vision and proven success in the hospitality industry is a key addition to our management team,” said Doherty. “He will help us ensure that our guests experience top service and comfort while we meet revenue management, sales and operations goals at Hotel Felix and Hotel Cass,” he added.

Jordan’s career has spanned 18 years in positions around the world including the United States, Canada, South America, and the Caribbean. Prior to joining the Raffaello Hotel, he worked with Hilton Worldwide for 14 years, most recently as the acting general manager for Chicago’s Drake Hotel. During his tenure with Hilton Worldwide, his expertise in food and beverage marketing and management was put to the test as he reinvented and created 26 successful new food and beverage outlets and catering facilities across the globe. Originally from Washington, D.C., he earned a degree in finance from Arizona State University. He currently resides in downtown Chicago and enjoys keeping up with the new dining and nightlife scene in the vibrant city.

Hotel Felix and Hotel Cass are both owned by Oxford OBG Hospitality Investment Partners, a value-added acquisition and redevelopment initiative focused on the lodging sector, led by Oxford Capital Group, LLC. Other principals include Park Ridge-based Bricton Group, Inc. and Chicago-based Gettys.
